Like I said, it's not possible to have a good adaptation with the chapters now. Idk about your take on That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3, but it would be the same as that. A lot of yapping and meeting, which people won't like unless you are crazily invested like me.

The current phase that is ongoing in the manga will have lots of action, so by adding those actions, which we will get later on, it will balance out the previous issue. That's why they are trying to make a reboot so that they can keep the engagement while waiting for the chapters to come.

I will say we don't have enough materials for a good adaptation. We have enough chapters to make a season but if it is made, then it will be just them sitting in front of a table and playing on a laptop, which won't be interesting to watch in an anime format

It wasn't good either. Had a severe pacing issue, and the animation by the middle had gone so downhill that the production committee had to put in a filler arc so that they could animate the rest.

Also, it's not possible to give a good adaptation with only phase 1 (assuming you are reading the manga), and it will take at least a year for phase 2 to end since it just started.
