Without a doubt Kusanagi Motoko from the sub universe GitS Stand alone complex. Great themes of gender and identity, they sexualize her a bit which sucks; but a plus is she doesn't see the concept of gender. Being fully prosthetic she just sees herself as Kusanagi. Plus she's badass.

Technologically dystopian society in the future, maybe 20-30 years. Something like Mushishi but during that time period. Thats the dream.

The one I'll recommend is Gintama, the longest out of all of these but you'll breeze through it I promise you.

Gurren lagen, this is one of my favorite shows honestly. Haven't watched Eva or higurashi and I love perfect blue and Clannad so tough choice.
