HeatGuy J
another brainchild of One Punch Man's author, and it's dope:
Mob Psycho 100
who's the real monster? aka a story of a guy who finds himself torn between two worlds (if you watch and like it, consider watching Devilman Crybaby as well - the premise is pretty much identical, but the execution could hardly differ more):
Kiseijuu Sei no Kakuritsu
speaking of monsters, this thriller is imo somewhat of a classic you shouldn't miss (just beware it's psychological and doesn't exactly burst with action, though the atmosphere is gold):
Monster
and finally: Chihayafuru - just felt like throwing this one in, as it's not mentioned nearly as often as it'd deserve; it's a slice of life that relies heavily on its characters and their relationships and development, but it also offers some pretty suspenseful competitions, especially in the last couple of episodes

@Plusho, I see, though I think that if this challenge was of a one-time kind (or had its own badge/s for further rounds, would there be any), the damage to the badges' value would be minimal. It wouldn't enable people to get all the badges they had missed out on; they'd only get one, period. (And there's also the super cool link between recycled badges and "recycled" anime, wink wink.^^)
Anyways, thanks for listening and for the link, I'll be sure to check it out. :))
So yesterday I happened to discover the absolutely gorgeous Mob Psycho badge for Monthly Challenge: January 2019 and I immediately thought, damn, I want it too! xD Therefore, here I introduce a suggestion for Rewatch Challenge that would encourage participants to rewatch their favourite anime, and upon completion reward them with a "recycled" badge - badge of the participant's choice, coming from any of the previous years' (plural intended) Monthly Challenges, with its text modified to suit the new challenge (e. g., instead of January 2019, it'd say Rewatch Challenge, or whatever the name would be, but the picture would remain unchanged).
In order to complete the challenge, 10 different anime (allowing sequels, alternatives, etc.) need to be rewatched (much like there need to be 10 different entries for a Monthly Challenge). I wouldn't necessarily implement the minimal run time of 1,500 min though; I'd like this to be a chill challenge letting people return to whatever they want. Also there'd be no time limit to complete the challenge. No points would be earned, either. It'd be just a help to find motivation to return to the old friends rather than keeping to discover new ones, with the bonus of earning a pretty pic. :))
Thanks for reading!
Chihayafuru - character driven, optimistic, hints of blossoming romance & also some more suspensful, competitive moments
Haikyuu - fun, upbeat, made me smile throughout its entire course; if you’re not into sports, the first few episodes might be a bit challenging, but damn, it’s so worth it
Haibane Renmei - deals with sad topics, but ultimately feels warm and reassuring; many of its questions remain unanswered, and it’s the need for personal interpretation that makes the whole viewing experience all that more intimate
Somehow, HR reminded me of MP100, despite the latter’s far goofier and has way more action. I think it has something to do with them conveying similar messages - acceptance of oneself, moving on with one’s life even after the gravest mistakes, trying to be the best person within one’s power -, and, most importantly, conveying them in a similarly reassuring, soothing manner. Both these shows were just so incredibly nice to watch; I’d liken them to a hot bath after a long, tedious day.
I’m aware you’ve already seen MP and might even disagree with my sentiment, but I really needed to let this out. :)
