Don't these ladies-in-waiting in this show have too much power or rather aren't they too daring? Putting poison on their master's face and hiding it despite it being banned, Going against emperor's direct orders, bullying their own master and switching their food. Even the concubines aren't shown to be mad and criticize them.
the era in which the show's set in, You would assume that even the slightest mistake would make your head roll but these ladies seem to be running amok.
Toji vs Dagon fight was awesome. I think this is the first fight of this arc which had fast paced action, minimum slow motions cuts, no talking and narration and where you could actually see whats happening as it avoided that zoomed in crap they pulled in earlier episodes. This is what I want to see more of in this show. The only problem I noticed was the dimming but nothing can be done about that I guess. Have to wait for BDs to see it in full glory.
This might be an unpopular opinion but I find the fights so weird and jarring this season. It feels more like a slideshow tbh. It's like a fight starts, they start to throw hands and we are straight away skipping to the impacts and not seeing any fluidity in their attacks. It is so bad sometimes that it is even difficult to tell what is going on at certain points. And what's with the constant use of slow motion? Why can't we have fast paced combat like Season 1 and the movie? The art and the animation have improved overall but the fighting animation and choreography have taken a big hit. They really should have bought the old director back for this season,
