I think the problem is, code geass is mostly a high school anime and everyone only remembers the hype moments. Also code geass doesn't really work as a high school anime, it's dumb all these characters that are supposedly enemies go to school together. It's certainly not bad, just very lacking.

I rate things based on how much a piece of media appeals to me. If an anime I would otherwise consider a masterpiece, has shitty animation, art style, etc, but it doesn't hamper my enjoyment. I'll still rate it a 10. If it does hamper my enjoyment then I probably wouldn't consider it a masterpiece. Every anime is flawed, and taste can only be subjective anyways so it's dishonest to rate things based off a criteria.

I used to be really serious about my ratings but now I realize how idiotic that is, and ironically, that was when I would change my ratings nearly every day based off how I felt. Now I almost never do.

The title literally says "looking at their stats." That is a statistic on their profile.

2nd one only has 40 episodes, but it's the closest thing to logh in terms of how well the politics is done. Galaxy express 999 could be hit or miss for you since it's more of an adventure series.
