AWC Anniversary Boss Battle

Help! The city is under attack from 4 giant creatures!

AWC was preparing to celebrate our 2 year anniversary when these monsters just started rampaging! They are attacking every challenger with... tags!? Can you all help defend the city by counterattacking and save AWC? Don't worry, you're not alone! We're going to need the help of the whole community to collectively bring down these big bosses! Every episode a challenger watches will deal damage! Good luck and happy annive----- AAAAAAGH. *crunch*

Everyone that participates will receive a special badge that will be revealed after the bosses are defeated
There are some secret badge variants for challengers that achieve certain specific milestones

What is the Boss Battle?
The Boss Battle is a community challenge where participants must watch anime episodes to collectively defeat 4 bosses
The bosses will “attack” each challenger with four tags (one tag per boss)
Challengers must deal damage to each boss by watching episodes of anime with each tag
Challengers can watch as many anime as they like to deal as much damage as possible
Episodes with a duration of 20 minutes or more will deal 1 point of damage
Episodes with a duration of less than 20 minutes will do half-damage
- Total damage is always rounded down, so for example, an anime with 11 15-minute episodes will do 5 damage
- A 1 episode anime with a duration of less than 20 minutes will have 0 effect.
Each boss has a secret weakness that will allow challengers to do 2 x damage via a Special Move
How to Play
Simply post a reply in this thread and @AWCBotchan will reply to you with 4 tags corresponding to each boss
You have 20 days to watch as many anime as you like with each tag to deal damage to each boss
Only one boss can be attacked per anime watched
- State in your post which boss you are attacking with each anime
You do not have to use all four tags, you may focus on dealing damage to one boss if you like
When you have completed as much anime as you can, post a link to your entry in the Submissions Thread
Your total damage will be dealt once you submit your completed challenge to our Submissions Thread
- You can only submit once. After you submit, your turn is up and the damage is dealt - that's it, you cannot try again or deal any more damage
Will you tactically prolong your streak until the last moment to deal high damage, or try to risk a special move early on to help out the community?
Only successfully completed challenges will be counted
There will be a prize for the most total damage dealt by a single user
The challenge is for fun only so no AWC points will be rewarded, however, challengers will receive a badge once all the bosses are defeated
You may use the code word “HEMTAI” in your post to receive an adult content boss attack
Discord Community
The Boss Battle is more than just a challenge, it’s a social event and a chance to join in with our community!
To defeat the bosses, challengers will have to work together to strategise, plan their attack and find the secret weakness of each boss
Hints may be given out by the bosses in our Discord server as well as announcements when bosses are defeated
AWC Community representatives will also be hosting special events in our server for the duration of the anniversary, including AMQ, games, quizzes, simul watches (group watching events) and the ongoing challenge workshop.
All members are encouraged to get involved, celebrate our 2-year anniversary and join forces to win the Boss Battle

Remember the stakes are high! If the bosses aren’t defeated, who knows what could happen!?
Read the rules below carefully

Each episode with a duration of __20 minutes or more__ will deal __1 point__ of damage
Each episode with a duration of __less than 20 minutes__ will do half-damage (rounded down)
You can watch __as many anime as you like__ for this challenge
You must __complete__ an anime for it to count, episodes of partially completed anime will have no effect
Each anime you watch __must__ have one of your boss tags or be an attempt at a Special Move

You do not have to use all three tags, you may focus on dealing damage to one boss if you like
To attempt a Special Move and deal 2 x damage, you **must** state that you are using the Special Move
Like all shounen protagonists, you should shout the name of your special move and detail the attack. For example, if you believe Plusho’s weakness is the Maids tag. then you should state: "Special Move: Maid tag attack on Plusho!" Or if you think Kondor’s weakness is the Sweet Tooth list then you would state: "Special Move: Sweet Tooth list attack on Kondor!"
An anime watched for a Special Move does not have to include any of the boss tags, however, if you are incorrect and the boss is not weak to it, then it will have no effect
Successful Special moves will always do 2 x damage
Warning: An anime watched for a Special Move that includes the corresponding tag for the boss you are attacking will only do 1 point of damage total if the Special Move fails (or will have no effect for episodes that are less than 20 minutes)
You can attempt as many Special Moves as you like

Only one boss can be attacked per anime watched
- You __must__ state in your post which boss you are attacking with each anime

You __can__ use any number of anime from other challenges as long as they allow sharing
You __cannot__ use an anime you started watching or rewatching before starting challenge

Your challenge start date is considered the day you post to enter the challenge

You __can__ rewatch anime for this challenge

You must state if you rewatched an anime in your challenge post
Rewatches __must__ be [correctly logged on AniList](https://i.imgur.com/WqrY9qV.png) to count

To log a rewatch, set an anime to rewatching and increment the episodes via the Anime In Progress panel on the AniList home page
An activity showing the episodes as rewatched will appear in your feed. For movies and anime with only 1 episode, the activity will show the anime as completed.

You cannot use speed watching to complete this challenge
Speed watching is watching an anime at 2x speed / 3x speed, etc. This goes against the spirit of AWC challenges.
Your watching activity must be visible on your profile — This includes all episode progress and an activity showing each anime as completed
Your activity must include the start and end dates, which can be added in the AniList List Editor
Your profile must be set to public so we can verify your anime list and activity

July 20th 2020, 00:01 UTC — August 8th 2020, 23:59 UTC
While the challenge is ongoing you can complete as many anime as you like to attack as many bosses as you like, but any damage you rack up is only applied once you submit your challenge and it is successfully reviewed.
After a boss is defeated, anime you started before it reached 0 HP will still earn you damage points as normal
Anime started after the date the boss was defeated will have no effect and earn no points
The dates any bosses were defeated will be listed below

You should keep track of your progress through editing your entry here

Being at a concert of his favorite idol group was the perfect opportunity to launch a surprise attack on Kondozilla. Between the loud music and the thousands of fans singing and dancing along, it was easy to sneak up on him, deal some major damage, and escape through the crowd. He didn't even know what hit him.
