Welcome to the eighth AWC Badge Battle! - A two-week community challenge event where two teams compete to decide which character is used on the badge. Pick your team, join the debate and complete the challenge to help your team win!

For this Badge Battle, it’s Sweet Girls vs Strong Girls featuring Katarina Claes and Abigail Jones! Only one can be on the badge… Will you join Katarina and live the sweet life, or will you work up a sweat with Abigail?

• What are Badge Battles?

• Badge Battles are community challenges where two teams compete to determine the character used for the badge

• Each team is represented by a character, but only the character of the winning team will feature on the badge

• Each participant must first choose a team, and then successfully complete the team requirement to cast their vote

• Each team can use AniList or the AWC Discord server to discuss the battle, back their side and to canvass for new members - please see below for more information about team events on our Discord

• The winning team is the one with the most successful completed challenges

• After the Badge Battle has concluded, the winning team will be announced on our Discord and the AWC profile, and challengers from both teams will receive a badge featuring the winning character

• Discord Teams and Events

• The Badge Battles are more than just a challenge, they are social events and a chance to join in with our community!

• During this Badge Battle, Sweet Girls and Strong Girls reaction roles will be available on our Discord

• You can use these roles to assign yourself one of two colours to show your team allegiance and divide our server in two for the duration of the battle!

• Please check the #announcements channel in our Discord for more information

• AWC Community Club representatives for each team will also be hosting club events, quizzes and games to get you to join their side. Will you join the sweet or the strong?

• All members are encouraged to get involved, campaign for your team, join the (casual) debate, throw shade at the other team if necessary and do whatever you feel is needed to get people on your side and to win the Badge Battle

• Remember the stakes are high! One character will feature on the badge, the other will not!

• Simply post a reply in this thread and state your team: Team Katarina or Team Abigail
• Complete the requirement for your team
• You do not have to watch the specific anime that represents your team’s character, it can be any anime that fulfils the requirement
• When you have completed the team requirement, post a link to your entry in the Challenge Submission Thread
• You do not have to join Discord or use the reaction roles, your vote is counted when you submit your completed challenge to our Submission Thread
• Only successfully completed challenges will count towards the badge vote
• The challenge is for fun only so no AWC points will be rewarded, however, successful challengers from both teams will receive a badge featuring the winning character

• State your team and complete the requirement for the team you have chosen:

• Team Katarina: Watch an anime from the Sweet Tooth community list with the tag “Female Protagonist”

• **Runtime:** Each anime must be a **minimum of 60 minutes**
• You can calculate the runtime of completed anime by multiplying the episode duration by the number of episodes

• You must state your team in your challenge post

• You must complete your team requirement at any time between February 10th and February 24th

• You can start watching from 00:01 UTC on February 10th and must submit your completed challenge before the deadline at 23:59 UTC on February 24th

• You can enter this challenge once, multiple entries are not allowed

• You must watch one anime - watching multiple shows will not count towards the badge vote

• If the anime you watch fulfils both requirements, your vote will be counted for whichever team you state in your post

• You can swap teams at any point until you submit your completed challenge for review

• Your vote is locked to the team you stated once you post a link to your challenge in the Submission Thread

• You can rewatch anime for this challenge

• You can use any number of anime from other challenges as long as they allow sharing

• You cannot use an anime you already started before February 10th

• You cannot use speed watching to complete this challenge
  Speed watching is watching an anime at 2x speed / 3x speed, etc. This goes against the spirit of AWC challenges.

• The anime you watch __must__ be [correctly logged on AniList](https://i.imgur.com/pYHuyM6.png) to count
• To log watched episodes, set an anime to watching/rewatching and increment the episodes via the Anime In Progress panel on the AniList home page
• An activity showing the episodes as watched/rewatched will appear in your feed. For movies and anime with only 1 episode, the activity will show the anime as completed.

• Your watching activity must be visible on your profile — This includes all episode progress and an activity showing each anime as completed

• Your activity must include the start and end dates, which can be added in the AniList List Editor

• Your profile must be set to public so we can verify your anime list and activity

• Your entry comment should include the requirement for the team you have picked (you should delete the other)
• The date you post the entry comment is your challenge start date

• You should change the text in red to add the information for your challenge
• You can still customise and personalise your challenge entry in the ways described below

• All dates **must** use the YYYY-MM-DD format
• These dates must match the dates in your list editor and your profile activities

• All requirement numbers must use a 01) format

• You may use either title links or preview cards for requirements
• These should always be placed alone on the next line after the requirement text
• Title links are provided by default in the code and can be included using the format: `[Anime_Title](anime_link)`
• Preview cards will be automatically generated by simply including a link to the anime or manga: `anime_link`
• You must use title links for hentai and adult anime, even if the rest of your challenge uses preview cards

• When additional information is required, you must use `//` to separate the information as shown in the challenge code
• You should not add any extra new lines or include any more than the required information
• Do not place any information inside a spoiler tag: if an image or screenshot is requested, you must include it as a link

• You can change the status indicators to any symbols or emojis of your choice
• The status indicator must be located between the requirement number and requirement text
• You must use different symbols or emojis for each status, if they are too similar then your submission may be delayed or rejected
• The status indicators must be noted in the legend located in the header of your post
• You may add additional statuses to the legend, such as "Watching" or "Rewatched"

• You can change the size of text, center it, make it bold, italicized, or strikethrough it
• Each requirement number must be the first thing on their line, so do not add any formatting options directly before them

• You may customise the header of the challenge code as long as it includes the same information
• The header is the section above the first `

• For example, you may wish to add a challenge banner, anime graphics or other visual elements

• Submitting a Completed Challenge
  When you have fulfilled the requirement for your team, please post a link to your updated entry comment in the Challenge Submission Thread You can get a link by clicking on the link icon on your comment. Post that web address as a reply to the challenge submissions thread. This makes it easier for reviewers instead of looking through multiple threads for submissions

- An AWC Staff member will check your challenge to ensure that you have followed the rules and requirements correctly. If you have completed the challenge successfully, you will receive a profile message from them, including any rewards. If not, you will receive a reply to your submission with any changes that you may need to make. - Only submissions via the AniList forum will be accepted. This means submissions via Discord, spreadsheets or other documents will not be reviewed.
