I think the last 2 episodes were a pretty big dive, although the tone hasn't really changed I thought the execution in a lot of areas was poor (chess idea wasn't bad, but poor execution, wanted it to end) the show was becoming less realistic and that the show stopped respecting the viewer's intelligence in terms of dialogue.
For me it's Glasslip. See Glasslip is special because unlike most other bad shows, it gives you hope that maybe, just maybe, the show will get better as it goes on. That perhaps the direction and beautiful artwork of P.A. Works will shine through.
But nope. Watching glasslip is like having someone present you with a nicely wrapped present but inside is a giant turd. And you dig through that turd hoping to find the real present but all you get is more feces.
I watched the whole thing expecting to finally understand where they were going with it. But nope it just completely sucks.
Good luck to no-drop-master-race people if you accidentally pick this one up.

My personal comfort boosters:
Non Non Biyori - Lots to love, just makes me happy all of the time.
Barakamon - Adorable character interactions, and has my favorite adorable child character outside of Hakase.
K-On! - You've seen it, you understand.
Usagi Drop - Emotional at times but way too adorable to discount.
Surprised noone said it yet: “Unravel” from “Tokyo Ghoul”
Tbh, I personally feel that the Tokyo Ghoul anime was really bad, however, the opening was just….perfection in every aspect. It broke down the edgy aspects of the series and spoke to the very heart of this series. The music, it was dark and the horizon showing a silent guy just sitting on an antique chair, & it was drowning me in the pleasure of giving in to the dark side and embrace it.
The graphics and animation, God look at this scene for God’s sake:
It was a one-of-a-kind design! The direction, the artistic symbolism, the lyrical meaning, it's all top-notch in every regard.
And you should also check out the English version. This is probably the best cover of any opening anime song that ever existed.:
My favorite character has got to be Pain. When a villain can seriously challenge a character's morals, things get real. Pain seriously challenged Naruto's emotions and morals by killing his sensei, master, and the entire f*cking village.
Pain also wasn't a villain for evil's sake but in a mind where HE was the hero. Overall his character felt really well done and tragic.
And hands down the most hated character, Sakura. Just looking at her makes me angry.
In the start, she constantly and desperately went after Sasuke and ignored Naruto. She did nothing for team Kakashi, other than being dead weight.
When Sasuke was leaving the village, she couldn't persuade him to stay with her so called ‘love’, and was so easily subdued by him.
She put a burden on Naruto by making him promise to bring back Sasuke, which caused him so much suffering.
It was never clear to me when her infatuation towards Sasuke turned into true love, I thought she was supposed to fall in love with Naruto. And this love caused her to be useless in some more situations.
She tried to trick Sasuke after he defeated Danzo, but once again had to be saved by Naruto (seriously, if you're going to do something reckless, at least do it properly, like Naruto).
She had the opportunity to destroy the rinnegan when she and Obito were in the other dimension, but what does she do?, she keeps standing there like a dumb b*tch when Obito tells her to destroy the rinnegan, and it's not even like Obito was someone she deeply cared out.
With that, the idiot of the year award goes to Sakura.
She was useful only when she defeated Sasori, and even that was mostly done by Chiyo. During the 4th great ninja war, she gained the 100 healing jutsu, and was useful for a total of 0.002 seconds, by defeating a small monster.
So, Sakura is definitely the most hated, most useless character from the whole Naruto series.__
Monster by Naomi Misura is highly underrated, to be frank …
This anime is a true work of art. The soundtrack is nothing special but is used in such a way that it gives you shivers at times. Every episode is full of twists and turns. Agreed, that the story does get predictable at times, and is insanely slow-paced (more so in the middle) and the show is very long at 74 episodes but that is where Monster shows its hidden beauty--the storytelling.
Please Be patient, you will see many interesting characters in a series with a PERFECT ENDING.
