Lol yeah, it's literally only the English subs that suck ass. Hoping someone just takes the subs from an English-adjacent language and just tls those into English because it's pretty dire.

Yeah, the dubtitles definitely don't make it unwatchable but there are some instances where it obviously differs from what's actually being said which is kinda annoying. I'll probably end up rewatching it with actual subs if we ever get those. Aside from that great episode, a lot of cute Ontan and we finally got to see Hiroshi the goat...

That's basically it yeah. Though we don't know for sure if the anime is getting an original ending, it just seems to be very likely from what we've seen and heard.

If you don't want to be spoiled finish the manga and then come back to the anime afterwards. Without going into detail there are major manga spoilers in the episodes that have already released. This is also going to be a full adaptation of the manga but will more than likely have major story changes considering what we've seen so far.

There's no LN for DDDD, the movie ending was completely original. From what it seems the anime also seems to be leading towards its own original ending.

Good to know, though it is an odd decision basing the subtitles off the dub (from what I've been told the dub is accurate to the source material so it could be worse).

o7, also yeah Crunchyroll is lowkey kinda sabotaging this with the weird subs (mine were cutting off mid-sentence at points but that could just be a me problem?) and lack of exposure whatsoever, the TL itself seems fine though.

Creating this because it hasn't been done yet and I wanna see other people's thoughts. As for me I honestly couldn't be happier, I have absolutely no issue with how the manga has been adapted so far and am excited to see how things will change as time goes on, as that's what they seem to be building up towards.

I'm aware yeah, honestly I don't mind it all that much considering how lukewarm I am on the final stretch of DDDD. I'm more interested in seeing how they handle it in both cases considering I've only seen praise of the movie's original ending. Gives me a lotta hope that the ONA adaptation will come through in that regard.

Where did you see that they were adapting the manga ending? From everything we've seen it seems much more likely that they will do an original alternate ending for the anime (as they have for the movies). Not to mention they've already strayed from the manga by starting with the ending stretch.
