well two episodes in and i've got to say that they're taking interesting liberties in the adaptation. i like how they're not recreating the manga panels 1:1 and instead are letting the animation director take advantage of the medium, making it feel "cinematic". [altho a part of me kinda prefers the zanier storyboarding that the series is known for]

nonetheless, i have high hopes for the adaptation, the animation team seem like major Fujimoto fans so i can't wait to see them tackle the more-intense arcs [like katana man] !

yeah! the new ED is actually made by Sato Miyo, the same individual who worked on the S1 ED [the artstyle is called "paint on glass animation" if anyone's curious]

i love how the first and final EDs showcase the daily lives of our lead characters in the same style

the Dorohedoro manga is actually my favorite manga of all-time so there's some bias when i say the manga is good lol

but the anime is also worth checking for the soundtrack and voice actors especially. if you're fine with CG anime and waiting then i'd say watch the anime first, watch/read something else, and THEN read the Dorohedoro manga from the beginning.

but you can also do the opposite and read the manga first, it's up to personal choice.

i checked your list and you've gotta give Champloo a second chance. phenomenal sword action with a fun core trio and a perfect hip-hop soundtrack.
