Idk I have been told that its one of the shows that either hits you at the perfect time or it doesn't. I really love shows with a melancholy feeling and a steady pace, and I also like it when a show doesn't take itself too seriously.
To me, a good bit of the enjoyment I get out of the show comes from being able to tell when a staff just let loose and had fun working on the project, and FLCL really feels like that to me.
Okay yeah I get the whole series rating. That's how I had it rated until I rewatched (most of) the movies with some friends. I personally didn't really think the 8th movie was needed and I feel like most of it went over my head or in one ear out the other. The rest of the movies, though, I definitely enjoyed.

No actually, I started around 2016-2017. I only moved to the site recently though, and I only started logging around 2023, so I definitely get that assumption. I only really ported things I distinctly remembered or had a log of, so that's probably why it looks that way.
Ah that makes a lot of sense then.
I'd say mid-to-late 2010's, for specifics I'd say around 2017. You've got a lot of stuff I remember watching or at least hearing about back then.
Probably something from the early 2000's that is obviously just okay, but there's something about it that keeps people coming back despite its flaws. The colors are also probably pretty washed out, but in a pleasing way.
