Hmm, my favorite book is Woolf's To the Lighthouse (I'm a sucker for stream-of-consciousness style writing) and my favorite movie is probably Scorsese's Taxi Driver. I actually lack a creative background (other than my occasional doodling), but I certainly enjoy analyzing the works I experience.

Ooh good question. Virginia Woolfe's To The Lighthouse helped me better come to terms with the passing of time. Watching Taxi Driver prompted me to pay more attention to things like framing, lighting, and composition, helping me better appreciate the medium. I can also probably credit Skyrim modding for some of my interest in computers.
