I agree with you. I enjoyed the chapter for what it was and I think it got way too much hate when the scans came out. 139 did have a pretty big shift in tone and it didn’t seem like the ending that we’ve been building up towards. I think it was a “safe” ending on Isayama’s part. But since it wasn’t mind blowing like the chapters leading up to it, I guess some believed it to be inadequate

Im so disappointed in what Rent has become. I really thought the manga to be great when I first started it but everything in the past 100 chapter has been going downhill exponentially
