Look, I enjoy this anime despite being too generic and boring at times, especially because Akane feels so one dimensional in personality, but dear God her sister is just too fucking annoying. It's the type of character that unless it has a good background, you just hate it. I hope she has a reason to be like that or else I'll just hate her. I can't deal with her annoying personality, and I hate characters like that.
I know this comment is old but I must note this: The "thank you Mr. Accomplice" ova is an alternative ending where Yu gets to know Adachi's true identity, but decides to be his accomplice instead of selling him out to defeat him, leading to a bad ending where he never gets caught, and the mystery is never resolved
I came here before watching episode 2. Just wanna say something about the opening since I see no one saying anything about it.
The opening is so chaotic, goofy and yet cool at the same time. The last part with the three of them dancing is especially funny with how our evil incestuous blondy dances with himself. It's so damn funny, I can't. I'm already loving this series.
I'll come back with a comment after finishing the episode.
While I still find the prince a creep (not for the age gap, I don't mind that too much given the setting of this story, but the dude is just a weirdo), I found this last episode more enjoyable than the first two. Alicia has become a likable character for me, and god I hate overoptimistic people like Liz. I do agree we shouldn't forget our ideals, but man, her words were straight up too unrealistic. I dont like Liz, and neither of the other guys from her group.
Also, nice addition with the kid from the village! It's nice to see her progressing on her way to be a villainess, even if she does things that aren't considered really "villainous". And I love her attitude of being above others as she thinks she's so cool, so chuuni, I love it!
Overall, the fourth episode improved a lot on the story side compared to the first two, but animation wise it still looks a little goofy. But not as goofy as some other animes this season.
This episode felt jarring in a lot of ways. The animation felt cheap af, the pacing wasn't the best, and the story was also very jarring. The only (kinda) interesting part was with the girl from the other group apologizing to Raust and how he should try to convince her to leave the other group, but the rest was just boring or stupid. Margulus instead of being prepotent as some other guys from series with a similar premise, he feels like a fucking idiot who doesn't understand that everything he does is not only bad, but it just makes him look more like an idiot, more than he already is.
I'm gonna give this two more episodes, but if this keeps going like this, I'll probably drop it. Which is a little sad, because with a repetitive premise like this one, it has some good ideas and a good episode 1. But now it feels like they don't give a damn about it.
For me at least, it was weird but in a hilarious way. I found it funny by how weird it was. Do I like it? Hell nah, but at least I found it funny so it didn't bother me.
Christina's design indeed looks weird, right? She looks so off compared to the other characters. Not even in the manga or the LN she looks that off. Probably budget problems? Or the character designer is at fault for this.
The series is enjoyable so far. Though... That part with the milk and the cowgirls... It's weird. Funny, but weird af. I was like "this can't get worse, can it?" And then boom, the daughter's milk. I bursted laughing when that happened and I was like "THERE'S NO WAY THEY DID THAT LMAO"
Besides that weird but quite funny part, the rest was good. Though, is it just me or Christina looks weird compared to the other characters? Her face looks... Off.
I saw the title and said "another one of these again?"
I'm gladly surprised by it. It is a little different from the start, and it makes you curious about the story.
Also, the animation! Normally these type of series don't get too much budget, but this one has a good animation! The budget might be considerable (not great but not bad), so they can afford having this good animation.
Very surprised and willing to watch this series!
Same. The story is interesting, but I think the animation and the script for the episodes is not doing justice to it. It feels like they cut content to commit to the 12 episodes. The animation is very regular to bad, and just in the first episodes I've seen good animation. At least the other anime from this same author (the Games one, I don't remember the name), has a better animation, or at least it tries.
I feel the same way. I mean, the MC is not showing any signs of evolution aside from a few things ONLY during the dungeon explorations, but as a person he's a very dense idiot. I can't like Haruka at all, and I'd rather have Airi as the main girl instead, because Haruka... Idk, has no real personality? She feels too bland, lifeless, and doesn't really make me feel anything. Airi at least showed a little bit of "characterization", yet by how bad the writing is (at least in the anime, idk if the LN is that awful or it's better), this feels boring, lifeless and tasteless. I think I'll watch a little more, maybe up to chapter 9, but of this keeps up, I honestly I'll ultimately drop this show.
... Well, at least this isn't as bad as the past season's "The banished former hero lives as he pleases". I couldn't make it up to chapter 3 in that one.
For me at least, I'm dropping out of the boat. The voice acting, pacing, animation, and general quality of this series is terrible. It jumps from scene to scene quickly without taking any breaks, it's really cliché to the point of making me sick.
The voice acting is very bad, it seems like they didn't have budget for better actors, and even yet, my main problem is the MC's voice. It's irritating! And I usually don't mind characters with a high pitched voice, but this one was just insufferable. No offense to the VA, but this was terrible.
I usually give the 3-episode rule to any series of a season to see if it's worth watching, but after seeing three episodes of this sh*t show, I can't stand it. I hope you can stand this a little longer than me, because I just got sick from watching this show. The idea and premise isn't original, but it could be explored differently and make it interesting, but it just doesn't.
First things first, the episode was really good! I really liked Alya and Kuze's interactions, and I found funny how he hasn't cleared his relation with Yuki to Alya, telling her that she's his sister. Aside from that, I was not expecting Hare Hare Yukai as an ending, it was really nice.
As for the ending part, I usually don't like love triangles in animes, but I feel that this one will be problematic. And I don't find Masha really that attractive, so that just adds to my ignorance to her.
Also I must add, the council president is a genius asshole, he convinced Kuze to join despite him not really wanting to lmao.
And for "that" part of the chapter, just makes clear who's gonna win this regardless of the drama.
On one side, more Holo! I love that.
On the other side, I hate this arc a lot, but it's all because of Amarty (or whatever they called him now). If you already watched the S2 from the original anime, you'll probably know why. Idk but his voice is more irritating than before? It gave me that impression.
Something funny about this series, but at the same time a little annoying, is how the anime has this "harem" type of situation (more clearly with Noel and Tsumugi, idk about the other two), when it's more clearer than water that Shintaro likes Towa and vice versa. Despite that, the series was a joy, and as you said, it's a little weird they didn't do more ecchi stuff like in episode one and two. Maybe they did that only to hook up people? Hahaha. Anyway, I enjoyed this series a lot despite being really simple. I want a season two!
As I keep watching, I feel my remaining braincells dying because of this series. I mean, I just keep watching because is really entertaining but because of how stupid this series is. I've seen a lot of series like this, and yet this one finds the way to impress me but not in a good way. Mito, Ruka and Ren are really stupid characters both mentally and argumentally. I already read the manga because I was just curious to see how this played out and god lord it's really bad.
The only interesting part for me was Takara and the other guy (forgot his name), because they're the only interesting characters in this whole shitshow. I'll probably keep watching this, but honestly it's just terrible how this series makes zero sense most of the time, and I say it both as an author (amateur) and a viewer of each seasonal animes.
Episode with no Tsumugi? I'm totally down for that. No Noel though :(
But I really enjoyed the whole focus on Towa on this episode! She's so adorable! And they are basically a married couple without the married part, it's obvious who's gonna win this. But hey, they're really sweet together, so I'm down for that.
Pretty enjoyable chapter aside from Shiu which I found annoying.
