Well, based on your bio, your three favorite anime, and your predisposition for fantasy, I'd say you'd fit right into an urban fantasy anime. There'd be some mystery and probably a bit of thriller, with moderate doses of action.

Anger, sadness, frustration, bitterness, unfairness, injustice, pain, understanding, etc. Those are my feelings and thoughts while watching this first episode, and that's what I seek in literature and manga/anime: to feel or think. I like this one so far, even if—or maybe because—it's heavy and uncomfortable.

What's this about? The only clear "message" I get from this heavy—yet good—story is that some adults are pieces of shit that don't protect kids as any adult should, and even involve them in their messes. Also, that good intentions alone aren't enough, most of the time, in a complex world such as ours.

Wow, your description feels so foreign to me, but that only displays how good an anime it is. We both probably had similar yet different experiences while watching it. I know there aren't that many anime that can create such a range of different experiences. For me it was even close to psychological horror the first time I watched it, but the second time it felt like a well-crafted story hidden underneath white noise, if that makes sense.

Yeah, it resurged in recent years. This anime is one of my favourites, so I was curious why you had it in your favs too lol.

I never thought about it, but that makes sense! If you don't go out of your way to harm others or don't act selfishly it's normal for others to think you're good.

Close. My results (from the test) showed I was more inclined to good than bad, and lawfulness than chaos. But I am a true neutral; I seek balance, neutrality, and bla bla bla. Some neutral (in the Good-bad dichotomy) tend to be misunderstood as good, though.

All right, I put my detective cap on and arrived at some conclusions. First, you're highly likely a chaotic individual. Why? Well, I've got two main reasons:
A. The way you write:

You write without regard for grammar rules and just get to the point, and although that might be an unrelated sign, I do believe the way we write reveals some truth about ourselves (a chaotic style might show a chaotic mindset). I wasn't convinced though, I might've been overthinking, and that's where the second point comes into play.

B. Some of your favourite characters. I don't know most of your favourite ones, but the two I know have something in common, they're chaotic!

This isn't conclusive evidence, but it's the closest I can get to my first conclusion, you're chaotic. After all, I know for a fact that I do tend to like characters with my own alignments (not always, though).

That leaves me with the final question, are you good, bad, or tend to be neutral? Well, call me lazy if you must, but I just gave up on this one since I couldn't find a clear clue, so I'll go with the most likely not-to-miss option, you're neutral.

Am I wrong or close to the truth?

Oh, DMC! This takes me way back! I was around 12 or 13 years old when I watched this one for the first time. I remember I downloaded it in really bad quality—what? Illegal? No... that's...—How was it called? 3GP, I think. I watched it on my phone, and I liked it. I don't remember if I had already played Devil May Cry 3 at this point or not, but if I had then it'd make sense I picked this one from the website.
My family was poor around that time, so I used my mobile data to download low-quality anime. My internet was so slow that I'm surprised I put up with it, my patience with internet-related things is way lower nowadays lol.

Recently I rewatched it—legally and in great quality—and I found it way better than I remembered. The first 8 episodes are my thing, they have mystery, and that melancholic tone I love so much. I wasn't a fan of the last ones, but technically those are more like the videogame lol. Love the games too, btw.

Alright, I was going to share my reasoning about this matter. BUT, most people here already gave you (and me) an answer: we all rate things differently or, to be more precise, the system we use to rate anime is unique to each individual. For example, for me, a 6 is a good anime, and the average (the neutral ground) ranges from 5 to 4. In other words, it just happens that most people don't share your viewpoint and tend to consider an average anime to be from around 5 to 6.

BTW, to be honest, I don't share your idea of rating so much anime a 10/10 since I consider a 10 to represent perfection, and I have never watched a perfect anime so far. Just my opinion, though, yours is valid and solid in your logic.
