the last ~15 chapters of aot (aka the rumbling arc) had no direction, no pacing, and relied on shitty cop-outs to advance the story while isayama continually demonstrated that he had no love left for the story he had created (see: avengers, bullshit logic about killing, completely [redacted] ethnic conflict ideals, ending). he wrote himself into a hole and chose the easy way out (ending) despite it not making sense from a logical or a story perspective. i still like aot overall, its a pretty good manga. up until chapter 124, that is. i'm not going to sit here and debate with you about the ending and if it was good or not, you can like it if you like it, i dont care, but i will say that the ending explained nothing, created more loose ends than it solved, and was the result of poor pre-planning and foresight. the manga could have ended well and made sense in the process, im sure of it- but isayama didnt plan ahead accordingly and created a mess that when analysed on a critical level cannot be made sense of in any way other than creating a million different headcanons to jusitify erens actions based on your own personal convictions. a good ending (that refrains from leaving itself open to interpretation such as.. idk.. 1984) should not require you to create your own reasons as to why it happened how it happened. i am not saying that every story needs to have a concrete ending or there should never be a margin of interpretation in your ending- i am however daying that isayama clearly wanted his final chapter to be the definitive and ultimate end to aot, and a definitive end should clear up any unsolved plot points, not create more.
Favourite scene was definitely the finale of the twins fight. Honestly it just feels like the last jedi but instead of being one of the worst movies ever created, it was badass as all hell.
In terms of favourite episodes, it would probabaly be go something like
1 - The Twins
2 - The Ninth Jedi
3 - The Village Bride
Tatooine Rhapsody gets an honorable mention here just purely from how much it made me laugh and from that banger of a song. Overall the only episode i really disliked in any way was TO-B1 because i couldn't take even a second of it seriously with that goofy ass animation, but the show as a whole was absolutely amasing.
