Just wanna say that studio doesn't fully dictate how well animation/an anime in general will be. Usually director matters more than studio (except for very in-house studios like Shaft, KyoAni, and ufotable). Just wanted to bring this up, because if you look at MADHOUSE's stuff they're not known for amazing animation either (excluding their older stuff, since that was practically a different studio. Almost no original members still are at MADHOUSE and have went their separate ways).

In the case of OPM S1 it mostly came down to the connections the director had. He brought in top animators from Wit Studio, PA Works, Bones, and more. Heck, did MADHOUSE's in-house animators even get any spotlight in the first season? I'm actually curious now. They even got Nakamura Yutaka, a god of fight animations, to do a scene in the final episode (that explosive knee attack), and he barely animates outside of Bones nowadays. If you want to delve a little more into the animation, this video does a pretty good job breaking it down and explaining the people behind it (there's a part 2 too).

Anyways, S2 was definitely not as good, but S1 definitely set the bar way too high, for most anime even haha. I feel like even if MADHOUSE was able to do the second season it still would have disappointed, unless they were able to grab the same director again. But yeah, S2 did have some pretty good sakuga here and there, and story wasn't bad, so I think even if it didn't live up to the hype, it wasn't bad at all.

Actually just visited the forum to finally comment about this (it has bothered me for a while now) after embedding a video at a max fitting width to the box, where the scroll bar behavior reminded me about it. Though for me I've found issues with it in general

In my video, you see the two issues I have with it. First of all - the shifting ruins some formatting, as you can see demonstrated in my badges literally turning into an F. Second is the glitchy aspect already mentioned.

I can't make sure suggestions since web dev isn't really my forte, but I feel like an appearing scroll bar that overlays the content instead of shifting it to the left would basically solve this issue.

(Slightly off topic, but I also think styling it would be beneficial too, it especially sticks out in dark mode. iirc it's pretty doable using webkit)

Seconded. Oreki definitely fits your "doesn't care" criteria, all the characters are likeable, and the anime as a whole is just a great must-watch SoL in my book
