"We hurt each other, and then we lick each other's wounds. Now both damaged, we seek out each other. If you die tomorrow, my life ends tomorrow too. If you live today, I can survive the present too. The story of our damaged selves starts now. Painted crimson with blood, dried black. The precious story of our scars we can't talk about. I'll never tell anyone."
A Place Further Than the Universe w/o the antartica ofc
Hyouka
Ping Pong the Animation
I don't even know how I can even explain this. I just began watching it at the perfect time in my life where it would hit the most different. Even if there are shows that I watch that are like technically more solid, Monogatari will always have a special place in my heart.
Owarimonogatari Second Season
Kinos Journey
An episodic journey that is both parts relaxing and exciting. Every episode is filled with deep dialogue which incites discussion about many different philosophical subjects.
Owarimonogatari Second Season
March comes in like a lion Season 2
Nichijou My Ordinary Life
Kinos Journey
Fruits Basket The Final Season
The 5th spot can change every now and then depending on how I'm feeling, but the top 4 are solid.
Welcome to the NHK
I'm hesitant about this one since the original was already so good, but I would love to see a modern take on it.
This is hard for me. I will always enjoy a good story with heavy themes and messages. I love some of my favorites so much because of the messages and themes they convey, including The Monogatari Series, 3-Gatsu no Lion, and Welcome to the NHK. Take that into consideration and it makes no sense as to why something like NIchijou is my #3 favorite. Watching Nichijou was like a break for me from all of the thematic and thought-provoking shows I had been watching. It was hilarious, made me feel good, and I think thats all it needs to be. I think there is a place for both types of shows.
March comes in like a lion Season 2
March comes in like a lion
This isn't much of a romance, but when I hear best SoL this is the first thing that comes to mind.
Kinos Journey
I never see any type of discussion around this, and it makes me sad. Kino is so good.
"ive been feeling lowkey depressed and lacking motivation so why not make it worse?"
This is THE show about feeling lowkey depressed and lacking motivation. There is a very high chance you will love this. It's a bit old but its a personal favorite of mine and very good.
Welcome to the NHK
