yeah fujimoto was definitely being rushed. this was a very good chapter placed in a very weird and frankly terrible point in the story since there's still so many loose ends and i'm surprised pochita just kinda gave up concerning everything going on. if there is a part 3, i really hope it passes the baton onto Asa because i feel she was treated so unfairly by the story considering i believed she would be the true mc of part 2. what a strange part, don't really like it much.

that flashback at the end of power and aki will be the vacation they go on before the gun devil arc, you can see that aki's arm is missing! this is seriously going to be such an insane flashback and i can't wait to see what denji's been holding onto this whole time... I HAVE MISSED AKI SO MUCH BTW OMG
god i feel so bad for denji, i'm so glad this chapter happened though because so many people have been acting like denji "forgot everything" from part 1. the fact those allegations even existed in the first place annoy me. anyways, huge W for denji's character in this chapter and now onto my feelings.
yoru. yoru yet again has taken a massive spotlight for me because of her relationship with denji. there's a lot of people out there that think her SAing denji, especially in this chapter, makes her feel pleasure and passion and whilst this may be true, i actually disagree for that being the ONLY reason. i believe that for quite some time now fuji has been cooking up some serious confused thoughts for yoru, some thoughts i believe might be her warped vision of love for him.
she's so confused about denji. she spends time watching him grovel and feel sorry for himself, and after telling him she will hit him, she then takes a moment to look at him. you can see the distress on her face, there's like a million thoughts going through her head and the first action she takes is to kiss him.
this is still SA, and i don't want to defend yoru, but she's a devil that has been absolutely obsessed with war and guns and destruction that she has most likely never felt this way before and doesn't know how to act. ages ago, back before nayuta was introduced, her first show of intimacy was when denji talked to asa in his apartment, jokingly (or maybe not) talking about their date leading to kissing which asa immediately rejected. yoru then pounced at the opportunity clearly trying to take control of him, this failing when nayuta stepped in. this was the only time affection was brought up properly infront of her (i think? i have forgotten quite a bit.) and she probably believes it's the only form of comfort perhaps? it has been a long time since yoru tried to turn denji into a weapon, and due to fami's mission, i don't think she's necessarily allowed to. basically what i'm trying to say is i don't believe any of this was done to harm denji. at least I HOPE. please let him be happy soon, fuji.
I'm imaging it's to greater serve the Death Devil. Considering Aging is a large part of Death, I can imagine it's either a conduit for Death or one of its' children. It dying in some way probably greatly benefits it that and the killing of the children.
I don't see a way that Turbo Granny would want to give her power back, but Ken's nuts are like super powerful so I'm hoping if he's going to gain some form of new power it would come from his own body this time.

Ch. 164: Fami tells Asa that Denji might be hungry and that's why he can't think straight and Denji agrees, saying he would like to eat sushi.
Ch. 165: Fami lists different sushi restaurants that they could go to, though she is aware that most of them are either closed or shut down so she states that by process of elimination they have to go to Sushishi.In my opinion, Fami didn't lead Denji to the sushi restaurant so Barem could meet him and show Nayuta's head to Denji, she just wanted to eat. She always wants to eat.

this was a genuinely incredible chapter for moving along the story and changing denji and asa's lives for good. it was such an incredibly uncomfortable chapter that i have missed so much from part 1. i really cannot wait to see what happens with these characters going forward. things are speeding up now.
a lot of people are criticizing fuji, and i know where people are coming from however this isn't just "gooner" content, it's showing all three of these characters shortcomings. denji's sex drive impeding on his future, asa trying to do anything to make denji's life better which is a double edged sword and finally yoru wanting to explore things without caring about what others might think. (edit: this also reminds us readers that yoru is a devil. she's not in it to support asa all the time like she might have done in the past. she is a devil.)
this is such great set up for the future. next chapter cannot come soon enough.
I love how proud Haryu is of Taiki, even if he doesn't want to admit it to his face. It was such a beautiful moment and I can't wait to see Taiki vs. Yusa in the nationals.
