I'm so pissed off at One Frame Man I still haven't watched any of it... And OPM was one of the first 2 or 3 anime I've ever watched that got me hooked on them (alongside SAO and Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry the GOATS)

Even though they're skipping a chunk of stuff... it's not like the source material is wasting anytime with the whole kid/background/fancy story trope either. So in that regard it's faithful lmao.

It's seasonal slop to an extent, but at least it's decent seasonal slop hahaha

I have absolutely no clue, and fail to understand, why they cut out the bit from the novel where Orun hands their asses to the hero party in the meeting. Just as much as I don't get why they cut the part where Orun and Silphia explain their special "extra skill" in the first meeting with the new Party. Since those are key components and as per Orun words "no point hiding information now", and they just insta skipped to Orun getting a new sword pretty much. Odd, and it's sad cos it likely means this anime is simply never getting a sequel and it's purely promotional material. Nothing else.
it could've been good cos the premise ain't bad, but it got the "Generic anime of the season" treatment.

Can confirm. This is giving me "aye wtf is this" vibes more than anything else. This could've been a completely useless skippable episode. (At minimum the first 70% of it)

I've read the bits from the source material and they 100% cut well too much stuff. Everything felt unnecessarily rushed/skipped. The guild meeting wasn't to "blame Orhun", and he actually took a lot of pondering and consideration about joining Rabbit's guild because of his past experience and what he aims to do.

They also skipped the explanation as to why the corpse appeared outside of the Dungeon (which btw the speculated reason is that Orhun slayed it, therefore from "A dungeon boss monster" it got categorized by the dungeon as a "Monster corpse" and therefore lootable material)

I agree that these 5-6 episodes of mini-arc felt dragged but it painted beautifully how much the decision carried weight and what it implied. I enjoyed this show a good fair bit and I want to see a Season 2. And oh right, Night gato was peak anime cat design lmao.

I enjoyed this way more than i probably should've, regardless of the odd pacing and sometimes "filler-like" episodes
