I mean going from 3 volumes per 13 episodes to 4 volumes is a 33% more content crammed into same amount of episodes so this season has definitely been accelerated.

Chiccha na Onaka

Showa genroku rakugo shinju is an interesting example since it's one of the very few shows portraying rakugo and is definitely one with the most interesting and well presented story in it.
In terms of romance I will go ahead and call Horimiya a masterpiece, there may be some recency bias to it but I cannot think of any other shows with more realistic and young adult portrayal of romance in an anime.
In terms of horror/mystery I don't think anyone would argue that Monster is a masterpiece.
There are a lot of action series, there are plenty of peak series from that category since it's so vast but I don't think anyone would argue with calling Shingeki no Kyojin a masterpiece.I feel like a masterpiece has to be at the absolute peak of it's category.
I started watching anime consciously around 2013. During one of my cousins birthday my other cousin brought a manga (Wolfs Rain) with them to the party, from her I learned about manga/anime and next day I watched Sword art Online and that's what got me into anime.
Then in the Summer of 2014 I started watching seasonal anime and been doing it ever since (although in the past few months I have fallen off a bit).That's the one! One of my all time favourites :)

@TheStupidWolf I believe your list is a bit tricky, not much anime but I think you just don't watch too many series at once and overall you don't spend much time watching so you have actually been watching for years.
My guess will be mid 2015I feel pretty good about my scorings, some of them definitely need to be updated and some of them have some recency/nostalgy bias but overall it's fine.
