i don't fully buy the idea that he went to heaven, but seeing princess acerola there makes me think that maybe she (the human) actually died when DVS made her into a vampire if that makes sense? so by extension, could shinobu have actually killed koyomi the human and not the vampire part? if you remember last time, gaen was the one that killed araragi which is when he was sent to hell for comitting the sin of being a vampire or wtv (it's been a while). this time however it was shinobu that killed koyomi, and considering they're two parts of the same person essentially, she couldn't actually fully kill him as an apparition?

i'm just rambling i don't have any clue as to what this would mean plot wise. either way, i really love the episodes that can just let you think about stuff after it ends.

it's a given at this point that the episode is a banger, 10 episodes in and every episode has been kino. loved seeing shinobu and hachikuji again after what feels like forever.

amazing episode as always, i really liked the conclusion to this arc - i think it's one of my favourites. shinobu showing up to help out nadeko with her draw to life power was also super cute. i'm really looking forward to what happens next with her now that she's involved with gaen inc.

i admit i watched it when it was airing (so mandatory 6 month break), i also distinctly remember not caring much for the first 6 episodes so if they were all stacked during them it'd make sense why i don't remember it as well. the second half though i felt tried very hard to shift the focus on characters that i just didn't care for in the slightest.

i agree with you when you say how can you make a super OP character interesting for more than a season, it's borderline impossible. i think the only way to do it realistically would be to make a season 1: 2 electric boogaloo. i think this shows only merit was the fact that anos just did dumbass shit that made it fun to watch as a comedy, and i felt like they just toned that down immensely during this season to focus on a haphazard, nonsensical plot.

it was never good, season 1 was fun to watch purely because of anos just doing anos things with his goofy ass one-liners. when you veer from all of that in season 2 to deliver a half baked, nonsensical plot with egregious pacing you lose the only reason why people watch your show. i hope in the next part we get more "did you think killing me would be enough to make me die?" instead of whatever tf was going on here
