Thing is, at this point it doesn't matter if the show is good or not, the hate is already rolling and nothing will help it. When the first season was released, people didn't know it would drag on at that point and it was "well" received all in all, staying at around 7.6 rating overall. First's season score today is 6.8, meaning that people literally decide to go back in time and review bomb it because the later seasons were worse.

I do agree it's just an okay show with some great moments here and there, but the hate is simply forced at this point. There is genuinely an amazing arc coming soon, but people will instantly bomb the score and reviews online no matter how bad/good it gets. I wouldn't be surprised if one day, some of the seasons will have score below 6, and there is no way in hell it is as bad of a watch if you compare it to other animes that sit between 6 and 7 score.

My whole paragraph was literally about putting enjoyment first and that every individual on this planet enjoys different themes and have different standards for enjoyment. As I mentioned, quality has nothing to do with it, since you can enjoy 'objectively' bad show (say, one with bad animation, 5,7 rating and being shit talked by everyone) and noone can stop you.

Even though I find Kimetsu no Yaiba mediocre, I have to swallow my pride and admit - THAT SCENE. That was freaking awesome!

Yeah, SAO was like 10th anime for me and I literally labeled it as #1 anime ever and gave 10/10. Good old times when I knew nothing xD

I mean, let's be honest - SAO is actually a pretty damn good anime for starters. If he/she enjoys fantasy theme, it will be pretty good.

How so? We all rate and perceive things differently. It's quite obvious MY ratings apply only to ME. Hence, if something is bad no matter how I look at it, I'll give it a 2. Where's the issue? I can still enjoy something that's bad and not enjoy something that's labeled very good by the community and/or very good from technical point of view (animation, art, world building, dialogues). Point is, with how different every individual is, no one can answer your question of "is it worth" better than you yourself by trying something. Not to mention, if you'd actually look at my list, you'd see what anime have 2 for me and understand right away why this is a thing lol

Edit: Not worth it/Worth it question has nothing to do with ratings. I have a friend who literally watches everything. He even watches - in his own opinion - a lot of trash shows. He's well aware how bad they are, yet he watches them cos he enjoys them. Will he rate them 3/10, 4/10? Yes. Does that mean he didn't enjoy it? Heck no. Take Ousama game. It's ridiculous. It's such a stupid show to me, I rated it badly, but it was so unique in a way, I still enjoyed it.

It would actually be even worse and out of character if she did die just like that lol. I thought people would've been aware by now that she's not a simple, small girl and it takes way more than that to kill her. She's Oni. It was explained way back that Onis are literally the strongest Demi-Humans known for their strong body. She wouldn't die from a "simple magic explosion". I actually feel bad for people who thought it would be enough. Aside from that, we're not even sure what will happen. It may be that, for the time being, she's only alive thanks to his magic. She may actually suffer a lot, we'll see.

There's no such things as "worth" or "not worth". There's a reason every single manga/anime/movie has both people who rate it 1/10 and claims something's a piece of shit and people who rate it 10/10 and claims something's a masterpiece. Even animes with 9+ ratings has people who drop it and says how shitty show is. Everyone has different taste, so just watch/read something instead of looking for such baseless opinions.

Now, for the show - it is pretty good. It's different, but not in a bad way. Funny, cos recent Netflix adaptations are pretty solid (Sweet Home & Alice in Borderlands). Just finished the show, gave it solid 8/10. Adaption is different - it's not supposed to follow manga 1:1.

I find those "long" scenes really cool. Some of them are actually pretty detailed in terms of art. Maybe it's because I am big Monogatari fan, but yeah.

I've enjoyed the very first episode. I love survival/death games premise so I am digging shows like this one. Overall, art-wise it's just okay for me, but on the other hand I really liked the music during first episode. I am also in love with Shuka, so yeah. The way the first game resolved was kind of "lmao", but hey, shit happens - unlucky. That and ending was pretty meh in my opinion, but overall first episode was pretty solid for me.

So here's the thing. I actually pay and subscribe to "legale streaming sites" but I don't watch it there. It's probably not legal in terms of law but I feel good with myself. So I pay for it, but then I download anime from different sources.

You're saying Tamaki should be able to defend herself with her powers after being knocked down while recovering from shock? Well, I can see why she wouldn't be able to do that.

You know, I thought people would already give up on idea that if something's predictable or not original it means it's bad. It's 2019. Do you even comprehend how many anime, manga, books, movies etc. is out there? Being original while still delivering high quality of a show is pretty damn hard. And if you ask me, Fire Fighters shooting flames out of their legs and hands fighting infernal demons is something pretty damn original. What could be so original about this episode? It could end only in 3 ways: tamaki defeats him, Shinra rescues her or that psycho kills everybody. There's no point in complicating show more than it's needed.

Characters in this show may not be the best, that's true, but they never intended them to be very deep. You look on everything with perspective of normal human being living on earth during peace time. We can't even imagine how it feels to live in Enen world where infernals are something normal. Even kids ain't THAT depressed about fact that this happens because everyone have to live with it, get used to it.

I am reading it and I am in love with this arc! It indeed is the best SAO arc, so far. I just hope they'll make it like 50 EP anime instead of making like 5 seasons+.

No, I am actually trilled to do so and I have around 200 animes. As far as I think my scores are pretty accurate I am really looking forward to more detailed scoring and doing some reviews.

For me, Darling in the Franxx is the best seasonal anime so far! 2nd and 3rd episodes may feel a little slow but after that it's pure masterpiece.

If you're looking for some solid romance-comedy like anime, I'd say go with both Tada-kun and Wotakoi.

Persona 5 is also a way to go. It's crazy and uniqe story with nice viewing experience. The only downside is it may destroy your playing experience if you were to try it.
