i really loved it! the chills i got for muzans voice actor, even if he got a couple of lines. though, i do have a couple issues with the story as a whole. like, why would they make such a cool character only to give them almost zero backstory throughout the whole story and then make them die and then give them a cool backstory. i thought that was really lame, but past that. really really good film.
i really want to love this show, but idk, i cant say its on my favorites just because a system i have set for my self, basically chainsaw man is the benchmark, if i cant say that a show is better than chainsaw man, then i cant put it on my favorites list.
that being said, i really do like this show a whole lot, but it feels as if the past couple episodes have been pretty slow. though im glad to see these two goobers fight along side each other. the next episode sounds really good.
maybe its the romance part, while i get why its good. but i kind of dont get it. i guess. they have never been my favorite shows. at least its not the focus of the show.
AOT stopped being one of my favorites just because the show completely changed, like, after they get past the wall, the show kind of stopped being interesting. like the mystery was more interesting than the answer i gusss.
to what I've read in the manga for kaiju no 8, its pretty freaking good. though, i haven't cought up in a long time.
this is a fun series. im glad the main character isnt just generic black haired 16 year old no 45131. this story actually has more themes other than just coping dragon ball and just being "Work hard, study well, and eat and sleep plenty!". like, dragon ball already did that, cant you write something else??
to add on to this thought, even all the arcs werent really connected THAT much. like, the original sagas had no connection to each other, like a new villian would pop up and it would pretty much have nothing to do with the last arch, except for the sayan saga and the frieza saga. but they barely mention the next arc. like things that happen in the last arc hardly matter to the current arc in dragon ball, which really, is nice for a rewatch. tbh.
i feel like everything after OG DB is just fan service. like, do you really think they would have continued OG DB when it ended if it didnt make money and had a bunch of fans?
i do get this take, but like. just because theres no connection between this and super doesnt really mean its not cannon, there isnt REALLY a connection between z and super anyway, or daima and z. its just more dragon ball, which is always good in my book. im tired of every story having to be a super inportant story that is meant to be told for ages, just enjoy the overly powerful martial arts tv show lol.
but i like the watch order (if i was going to rewatch dragon ball) would be OG dragon ball, z, daima, then super.
i kind of like how floaty the fights are. thats one thing i didnt like how space fights looked in the original gundam, they were just normal fights but in space.
plus i really loved the person with a grudge, obviously someone who was so connected to the one year war would be bitter about its end. especially when your husband dies and your son goes missing.
but as always, love the newtype connection scenes. im still suspecting that char is inside the red gundam.
